Also thinking about doing a 2" Terrafirma or OME lift in the summer.
Mine came with a 2'' Rovertym lift. Rides fairly well.

Mine was converted over to shocks a good while ago, but I think the springs are still original, and probably need to be replaced.

I got sort of lucky on my truck. Half of the lift was done right, springs, shocks, and even rear trailing arms to correct pinion. The rest like sway bar drops and whatnot weren't.

Mine came with OME med duty springs with Billies all around, even the steering shock. Everything else had been converted to poly bushings. May need new shocks as it's a bit bouncy, but I kinda like it like that.

I think bouncy comes with having much higher spring rates than stock.

Shit, I meant OME in my last post.

So has anyone considered changing the disco 1 radio with a disco 2 alpine unit? Looks like a direct swap sans wiring. The d2 unit is superior and there are ipod int options in the aftermarket for it.

I was looking into this but I am not quite sure on how the wiring runs on the d2.

Then you didn't look far enough.

It's probably like putting an e36 HU in an e30.

That's what I'm thinking. D1 and D2 have the same dash. Seems like it would bolt right it. Now whether or not it's plug and play is probably wishful thinking.

Wouldn't it be easier just to wire up an AF stereo to a 4 channel amp?

I want to use the D2 unit to pair with one of these: http://www.gromaudio.com/

My thoughts are, cheap, factory looking HU
                              Ipod integration and function
Being able to park in questionable areas.

If you could get wiring diagrams for each, and a pigtail from a D2, then I'm sure you could wire it right up. Shit, may get lucky and they use the same colors for the wires and where they go.
