Just noticed this thread, figured I'd post up. About 2.5 months ago, I stopped eating fast food. At the time, I weighed 244. In roughly 2.5 months, after a couple of cheats here and there, I'm down to just under 230. I've also started drinking almost exclusively water with everything I eat.
The fantastic thing about it? Now that I've purged fast food from my system, I don't even want it anymore. The though of stopping to eat it almost makes me queasy. On top of that, I've also almost completely eliminated soda from my diet (with the exception of Red Bull, can't let that fantastic stuff go), but I don't even drink them that often. I've also been getting all of my coffees non-fat. The next course of action is to start elimination all the sugary junk food. I'm a candy junkie.
I'm a pretty avid snowboarder (1-2 times per week), and along with my job, I'm getting quite a bit of exercise. We have a membership at the local gym/aquatic center, I just have to start making time to get in there. I really like the cycling classes, and I want to start swimming to work out my knees, which I've always had a fair amount of pain in.
