I have no idea what you're referring to that is going on there right now, but why would you spend time there in the first place? When it was still relatively new, I checked it out, immediately it struck me as an echo chamber. Through the years I've been linked to it or read a thread from time to time and it seemed to be a giant circlejerk, rife with PC and now-now-don't-hurt-feelings! It's tailor made for the "me" generation

The problem isn't so much FPH being banned, its them banning any and all subreddits that could be related to fatness. And they are banning subreddits that have nothing to do with FPH, like r/whalewatching.

They also banned R/neofag which was just a neogaf meta subreddits that did nothing wrong.

Reddit is going to censor all the bad stuff so they can monetize the site, so rip Reddit, this is what happens when you hire a CEO who thinks women deserve everything in the world, including the 2.7m needed to baill out her scumbag husband.

Appointing Ellen Pao as CEO was stupid. The lady lost her "discrimination" case in a jury trial, in which half the jury was women, and it seemed fairly obvious that she did not get the promotion to senior partner because she sucks with people and made some poor choices. Even the women in her firm that testified thought she was sort of difficult. That is not to say that a couple of the men in her office were not pieces of shit too, but Ellen Pao didn't get what she wanted and tried to use the victim card to get a payout instead. Her husband is under investigation for running a multi-million dollar scam as well, which seems like a hell of a coincidence with when and for how much she was suing.

So, now that she apparently can't cash out by claiming discrimination, she is instead glomming onto the SJW bandwagon and pretending that she is "the face of gender discrimination." As soon as I heard that she was going to Reddit, I figured that the place was done. I have never really used it, but I know enough about it to know that it'll soon be little more than a PC Pinterest discussion board, and all the people looking for fun on the internet will go elsewhere.

Women actually DO face some unfair challenges in the professional world, particularly in the tech world. However, allowing Pao to be a "spokesperson" for the cause is really stupid because most reasonable people can see that she is full of shit. SJWs are making a mistake by letting her join the club, but for them any woman that claims to have been screwed by "men" is welcomed with open arms, which is counterproductive since nothing will ever change without popular support. Same deal as having Mike Brown be a martyr for the cause against police brutality...the dude was roughing up a liquor store clerk while robbing it on camera 15 minutes before a cop shot him...really not the smartest choice for the face behind a movement.

Sorry about the long post...this was a hot news item in my area for a while and the sheer amount of whining and crying about it has been annoying.

Reddit is a cancer for me. I can waste hours there which is not good.


I use this app called "SelfControl" where I'm able to block out many websites for any selected timeframe up to 24 hours. I often use it to block out reddit and this here site.

Oh man! Thank you so much! I completely killed FB last fall because I was borderline addicted to it. Now I fear I have the same issue with IG....
