I'd rather have Sarah Palin 1 hearbeat away from the Presidency than Nancy Pelosi 2 heartbeats away.

            And apparently, McCain:

FactCheck: Said--then denied--he needed economics education

McCain cast doubt on moderator Tim Russert's assertion that the candidate had said he was no expert on economics. Russert claimed that McCain had repeatedly said, "I know a lot less about economics than I do about military and foreign policy issues. I still need to be educated." McCain responded, "Actually, I don't know where you got that quote from. I'm very well-versed in economics."

Russert's quote comes from a 2005 interview with the Wall Street Journal on Nov. 26, 2005: "I'm going to be honest: I know a lot less about economics than I do about military and foreign policy issues. I still need to be educated."
We could not find that McCain has said that quote "repeatedly," but he has made similar comments recently The Chicago Tribune quoted McCain talking to reporters on Dec. 18, 2007: "The issue of economics is something that I've really never understood as well as I should. I understand the basics, the fundamentals, the vision, all that kind of stuff."

What would Bush do about the Chinese? Cut off trade with them?? Yeah, that would not be possible and hurt our soybean farmers.

Kanye West is a rapper who is just as stupid as you to say Bush hates black people because Katrina hit New Orleans and the lazy Americans spoiled on welfare didn't leave when they were told to.

I have a certificate in Honors Economics and wrote a thesis. It doesn't take much to be more educated than you after questioning what econ has to do with the things you mentioned...

Only someone with a mental defect would support punishing hard work and rewarding laziness like the democratic party.

                A "certificate"?

Seems you'd put all that education to good use and beat me down with facts instead of epithets.

Just thought I'd offer - in case you are incapable of finding any facts about McCain's floppery.

YouTube is an excellent source. You can actually see Tim Russert hand McCain his ass several times on a variety of subjects.

Hillary made a big deal about answering that "3am phone call" and TAKING ACTION to fix the economy... when anyone educated knows that monetary policy will eventually not make a damned difference.

Reagan didn't need to BE an economist to listen to the right ones and do the country right.

No question about it - Carter was an ineffective leader. I'm not defending his legacy at all, but he won't begin to compare to Dubya after the damage is totted up.
