Id have a fixie if i had more money. Its crazy how the frames are evolving, So much beefier. Alot of my bmx buds got a fixies to. I see em occasionally down at the skate park. Im sure one day ill have one. Its nice to see gary fisher come back to. I thought that shit was dead.

I was up above it, Now I'm down in it ~ Entropy - A Build thread.

My fixie is faster than a lot of the e30s on here. I'm geared for the track though.

          single speed w/ freewheel

fixies are gay, the only reason kids have them is to 'keep up with the jones' so to say. its the cool thing to do, i must have one. i hate that mentality

Man, I don't think I've seen a group of people as polarized as cyclists: Road/MTB/Single/Fixed/BMX. Everyone hates on each other. Even within each discipline there are subsets of people. Front brake. No brakes. Downhill. XC.

STFU, just enjoy the fact that someone else is having fun on two wheels.

I can understand the argument about feeling more connected to the road. A fixie just wouldn't cut it for me. I ride a GT aggressor 2.0 mountain bike. I don't think I've ever even seen a fixie in person, but then again, I had never even heard of them until I came to this site so I never really paid attention.

<3 @ freddiekins. I run a brake, an ugly bike with bad geometry, non Velocity wheelset, etc. The sooner we (people) get off the l33t train, we can get somewhere.

I'm embarassed to have read such a stupid thread to be honest. Why do you guys even care? Why on earth is a certain type of bike important enough to you to hate? It's like how skateboarders and rollerbladers never got along - it makes no freaking sense.

im not reading any replies, just adding this.

Its like how gays talk 'gay'. Its to help homosexuals identify themselves out in the straight mans world.
