The registration system is still broken if this much spam is getting through. using a google recaptcha v2 or v3 would likely stop it dead in it's tracks. I've used v2 for years and never had a single spammer or bot get through..

Ultimately the decision to fix it or not is up to James. I can try to help ban them but honestly, I don't have the time during the week, and the site being so slow makes it worse.

Re: nando - That's why I think shutting down the registration and then making the whole site read only until it can be fully backed up and transferred would be a good idea, at least stop registrations with a notice that new members can join on the new platform.
