Maybe we should stop raising kids to think they're better than any job ("you don't want to grow up flipping burgers at McDonalds like a loser!") and they'll stop expecting a high paying position. Every effect has a cause.

yeah, I read that cracked.com article

If I ever wanted something as a kid I had to work for it...... What makes these precious snow flakes any different than me (I grew up in the 80's too ya know) ? Other than the fact that I go out and work and earn my way, rather than sit on my ass waiting for someone to hand it to me???

Oh btw, I am not STUCK IN MONTANA!!!!! I CHOSE to live here, I can live in any place in the country I want....... Since when do I bitch about my job?? Just putting perspective out there for some of the kiddies, to grow up and be a man and do what you have to do to make something out of your self.

fair enough. but for how much posting you do in the political forum hating on all that is bad (thats a good thing ;) ) , I don't ever see you 'doing' anything about it. So why try to hate on the people who are?

Ummmm really your going to compare this to the civil rights movement????

FYI the KKK was originally a DEMOCRAT group.

Yeah I went there. Did I say you were racist or compare this to the entire civil rights movement? I know you better than that and I know better to say something as shitty as that. No, I was comparing how similar your approach to these protesters are to how the protesters 50 years ago were treated.

Hard to respect them when they cant and wont walk the walk.......... Or the fact that they dont even realize what that walk is........

So you've met every which one of them and talked to them about this and this is your conclusion from first hand? I can't say I have either but then again I don't say the things that you do, which I could just as easily say about the Tea Party movement but I choose not to because I know better than that.

I am all for 1st amendment protest thats not what I have issues with. As gwb points out the funding sources have much to say about the real implications, of the movement. Also the fact that they leave a huge fucking mess, are costing the tax payers a fuck load of money to pick up after them, and keep the peace and so on...

Funny, you've quoted Jefferson a lot on this forum and he even said, paraphrased, that revolution is healthy. I guess that would cost the public money now wouldnt it?

If these iditos would put as much time and sacrifice into finding a job as they are this, they would not be out there protesting making them selves look the fool while doing it .

Look up Tea Party while we're stuck on the he said she said bullshit.

Oh and I agree with all of you said about how the population is being raised into an entitlement society but that's not the core of the argument. That is called misdirection. What these people are protesting is the serious fact that there is something very wrong with this country. If that is too ignorant or revolutionary for people, then it can already be too late to free us from the shackles.

well lets see here, I do a few things, and sitting in a park with a sign that reads death to capitalism is not one of them, I dont have time for that as I HAVE A JOB. I frequently (when time allows) email/snail mail, my elected representatives and have been know to call from time to time, I also vote, I dont shop at or buy from companies that I dont like how they do business, and so, I vote with my dollars and my feet as well.

Revolution can be good or bad, depending the on the ideology that is is viaing for it. Even the founders echo this sentiment after they saw what happened during and after the french revolution. Not to mention the more recent Bolshevik Revolution, or the Iranian revolution, and how about modern over throws in Northern Africa that are leading the radical Islamic rule??? Really while I agree that the people need to stand agianst the govt when the govt over steps its bounds, but you have to be careful what you wish for as we all just might get it. What the fools in the Occupy movement are wishing for has been tried many times and it has failed every single time. Its also something I want absolutely NO PART OF.

Speaking of the Tea party you ever notice that they are normally on a saturday when people that want to attend are NOT AT WORK, and they dont have to call in the city sanitation department to pick up after them, and they dont have to call the cops to evict them from squatting in the park

Great, I can spin some words too. Or did it ever occur to you that's because these people are that much more passionate than the tea partiers? Where does such hyperbole get us?

Just posting that kind of slander discourages real discussion.
