They are protesting about student loans too, it's funny obama just passed some shit that makes it easier for the collection agencies to get their money. Oh and obama made it that only gov loans money for school.

They made a list of volunteers they need, one was people to do their laundry. IRONY.

I think it's bullshit, and I gotta say, I agree with H. Cain, there is plenty of work to be had if people would stop being entitled, coddled pussies.

(Example, I am working 80+ hours per week, covered in cow shit and diesel fuel, it may not be the most savory job, but I can support myself without needing handouts now. For a while I was suckling at the teet of the UI system, not being able to find work I thought was good enough for me, but as soon as I got off my high horse, I found work that pays better than what I thought would have been good enough to not be on UI.)

If you are "failing", it's no ones fault but your own. If you are "succeeding", it's because you are willing to work your ass off and make sacrifices, and thats no ones fault but your own either.

I completely agree. If they were as proactive about getting jobs as they are about occupying wall street they would have jobs. Instead they will whine and complain and blame someone else.

That's a point that no one seems to get. A person is a person and people undermine that to please the share holders, whom are totally indifferent to company practices.

nope, its not only been thru the messiah, its 70 years of federal intervention and overspending, from both political parties. the O-man just pushed the accelerator to the floor with his misguided policies. these lazy ass protestors think life should be fair.

well, life isn't fair. cowboy up

so you have a government that, thru regs, provided the opportunity for wall steet to make huge bets and profits on mortgages to less than credit worthy borrowers. the govt MANDATED the mortgages be written.
then the govt mandates banks limit charge fees to merchants, which means higher fees to bank customers.
then you have a pres that ridicules the successful in america, demeans his political opposition, and gives defacto approval to the protestors, when its basically the governments fault to begin with.

he CANNOT leave office fast enough. its going to take years for the country to undo the harm he has caused.

Sure you could work yourself to death between arby's and mcdonalds, but thats not the idea here.

The idea here is to change it so corporate executives cant get away with breaking the law and having no reprimand.

Oh and there arent "Plenty of jobs" out there. If there were everyone would be employed.

                            70 years? More like 100+:

Treason is a strong word, but not too strong, rather too weak, to characterize the situation which the Senate is the eager, resourceful, indefatigable agent of interests as hostile to the American people as any invading army could be, and vastly more dangerous: interests that manipulate the prosperity produced by all, so that it heaps up riches for the few; interests whose growth and power can only mean the degradation of the people, of the educated into sycophants, of the masses toward serfdom.

The Senators are not elected by the people; they are elected by the "interests". A servant obeys him who can punish and dismiss. Except in extreme and rare and negligible instances can the people either elect or dismiss a senator? The senator, in the dilemma which the careless ignorance of the people thrusts upon him, chooses to be comfortable, placed and honoured, and a traitor to oath and people rather than to be true to his oath and poor and ejected into private life.

                            -David Graham Phillips 1906

Was anyone holding a gun on these CEOs? No. They could have chosen a different path. See, that's the issue right there: these CEOs are not thinking 10 years down the road-they're thinking about the quarterlies! We don't NEED more regulations, which the armies of lawyers these firms employ quickly find perfectly legal ways to circumvent. We need CEOs with vision and accountability. In my business, when times are tough, I don't even take a paycheck sometimes so that my employees can stay solvent. I have more assets...I'm not going to starve... But the bank CEOs just keep firing people and raking in the bonuses. And who bailed them out? Sure wasn't BHO who started that bullshit.....Boehner, the Tea Party darling, even voted for it!

I am no fan of BHO, but to be fair, the damage was done loooong before he ever announced his candidacy.

That's the problem, if you think two 32 hour weeks at two fast food chains is working yourself to death, then you are too hopped up on needing full cable, a nifty cellphone and a financed car. The problem is people living beyond their means to be feel like they are a part of the populous and on the cutting edge, fact is, if you only got an 890 on your SAT, got a GED, and spent the first six years of your adult life living a seven day a week party, you've got no one to blame for your lot in life but yourself. Those CEO's spent their school career taking advantage of the free start to their education, then spent eight more in school they paid for to put them in a place to decide whether or not the hours you spend making minimum wage at one of the four hundred Arby's they are responsible for is worth the investment.

Agree 100%. While I have not had to work at 1 2 or even 3 shitty jobs to make ends meet in a long long time. Does not mean I am above not doing so if the need ever arises again. Where I liver there is a serious lack of good jobs anymore (thank you economy but mostly thank you environmentalists form CA moving in) its all low paying service sector for the most part any more. Much of the work force that is still here and not gone to the oil fields in North Dakota have 2 or 3 of them to keep their heads above water. I cant find good work locally so I travel for a living and work outta state as well.

But we do have a ton that live off the entitlement system here as well
