did you not read the quote? it has been called matrimony for over 2 thousand years. the idea is to form a family unit to raise children, which by the way is a duty of every species member. a failure to reproduce oneself is a failure of the natural order.

You still haven't explained how I am a bigot though. I don't treat them differently, and I would be just as quick to protect the safety of a homosexual as I would a straight person.

Let me try to put it this way, which has at least helped explain my views in the past; It's not the fact that they are gay, it is the same issue I with people that party/ create pointless violence towards the innocence etc etc. It's not the fact that they simply are, it's the fact that they put their identity in that one thing. They focus on that, trying to separate themselves and create controversy.

As I've said before, no hate here :) I am fine with civil unions, and they in turn being just as equal as a marriage. But the word marriage, in US history has on average been used to describe a man and a woman. What is the issue with having a separate term for something equal? That is like saying it's bad to have a different name for males and females.

1. what is normal behavior in humans? please define what constitutes normal behavior.
there is no normal when it comes to human behavior. the gamut is incredibly varied. ie, rape is a common human sexual behavior. it's also common for many animals. is it normal? personally, i dont rape others. someone else might really enjoy the power trip. so when we are talking about all of humanity, we cannot define normal.
1a. what is sexually normal for humans, specifically?
see above answer: nothing.
1b. how does homosexuality fall in normal or abnormal behaviors?
trick question because there is no normal.

2. how many species on earth have members that display homosexual behaviors?
over 1500 species on earth have been documented displaying homosexual behaviors, tendencies, or inclinations.
2a. do any of these species mate for life?
yes. apparently we are not the only species with an idea of marriage.
2b. do any of these species exhibit the same lesbian, gay, bisexual tendencies that humans do?
yes. some members can be bisexual, lesbian, or gay. they run the sexual preference gamut just like us humans.
2c. would homosexuality in animals be blamed on upbringing, environment, or a want to be different?
this is actually a very interesting question. i do not have the answer, but it is excellent food for thought.
