    Now there's claims of a cover-up.

This isn't going to go well for Trump should these allocations be true.

I would welcome the change of decorum with a Pence presidency. Trump has however exposed the dems extreme left views many have suspected them of. It’s basically a socialist party at this point.

I guess Kavanugh Can breathe a little bit easier, has the same people calling for his impeachment last week had moved on to Trump. I wonder who will be impeached next week?
This is the kind of comment the makes me sick.

How about we stand by morals and >>values<< and not by party politics?

Trump has a long list of impeachable offenses. Let's find a better suited president. Just because you don't like the Democrat Establishment (I don't either) doesn't mean you have to stand by this moron. This presidency is *garbage* and a complete embarrassment to our Country. Forget the politics here.

Who would this magical, upstanding person be? HINT: They don't exist. The vast majority of politicians are garbage.

And yet even though we know they are garbage, we keep voting them in.

The amount of corruption in this administration is mind boggling. Day by day, the percentage of Americans who support impeachment is growing. I predict that in a few weeks, Republican senators will have to stop being tribalist and will no longer oppose impeaching Trump in fear of losing support from their constituents... That shall be the end of the Party of Trump, formerly known as the Republican party.

Well, I actually don't believe that's 100% true, but, please, let's agree our huge problem is that Money has been allowed to dominate our politics, and, yes, it's making it pretty impossible for values and morals to shine through over responsibilities to cronies and donors. Let's also agree that there are shades of grey, aren't there? This is not a black/white issue at all. And someone like a Trump is on the farthest shit end of the values and integrity scale. I think your usual devil's advocate falls flat in this case.

                    ...

And, as far as your "They dont exist" assertion goes, if we just want to talk Presidential options, I'll say Bernie Sanders is upstanding and honest. Now, you may not like what he stands for, but he's been standing strongly for the same policies his whole life, he never had to 'evolve' like so many of these other sell-outs who are constantly putting their fingers to the wind to gauge what they should 'believe' in. People consistently see him as the most honest politician, poll after poll, no matter what side of the aisle.

Now, do I think he could get elected (President)?? Well, crazier things have happened, but, no-- he'll get slammed as too old or 'socialist' or whatever. Who wants someone with integrity anyway?

Wow. That guy is really stupid. Trump now asks the Chinese, with whom he's in a trade war, to investigate in the Bidens and therefore interfere in the US elections. That idiot didn't learn his lesson with Russia, Ukraine (or the Ukraine like Trump likes to say), Australia and Italy. Now China. He must be desperate... What's next? He's gonna ask North Korea and Iran for help?

I'm not sure I follow you on this one. Sanders has labeled himself for the last four decades (maybe more...) as a Democratic Socialist, in which he speaks about a mixed economy where America isn't completely capitalist nor completely socialist. Democratic Socialists believe that the government's job is to provide a balancing force when the inequalities capitalism can create disadvantage a portion of the population. Sanders has never argued for completely equal control of equity across the entire country, which would be absolute socialism (some would say communism), so his owning multiple houses doesn't contradict his beliefs in Democratic Socialism.

I think Phil's point is that Sanders has maintained his stance as a Democratic Socialist and has put forth policy initiatives over his many years in government that are in line with the beliefs that he speaks on. He hasn't appeared to be a flip flopper on issues when doing so might be politically expedient. He isn't a womanizer, he hasn't been a part of a major scandal, he hasn't committed major crimes or been accused of doing so. The reality is that his salary as a Senator is $174,000/year, he's been there since 2007, so in the least he's made over $2 million since he became a Senator. He was Vermont's congressman before that from 91-07, earning him $1.77 million. He was also mayor of Burlington, VT prior to that (not sure how much that gig paid). So just from being a Congressman he's made close to $4 million. That doesn't account for the books he's published or any other investments he may have. So depending upon where he buys his houses, he certainly can afford to own more than one.

All of that still doesn't contradict his label as a Democratic Socialist.

A "democratic socialist" is just a moniker to attempt to fool stupid people into thinking the ideas differ in some meaningful way from scary "traditional Socialism" In which they dont........ So your point here is just what ????

Would you americans please educate yourselves on socialism. America has more socialism than Russia, china, north Korea, or any other country you wanna use as an example of the terrible tropes of socialism.

Hell, you love socialism sleeve, you just don't like certain people benefiting from it. Whether that line is drawn by race, gender, or class level. Your wife's recent health issues are a glaring example (hope things are better with that). You directly benefited from socialism.

When americans talk socialism, the rest of the world laughs at your stupidity. Because every other first world nation has socialism, and it works. You know, countries like Canada, australia, Germany, France, basically the rest of the world.

Maybe it's not that socialism is bad or doesn't work. Because there's currently more examples of it working, and being a benefit than examples against. Maybe it's just that the so called "greatest" nation isn't great enough to take care of its people. Who knows.

I would suggest actually educating yourselves before attempting to discuss a topic you obviously don't know enough about. But that would require you guys not be the typical lazy american, and take some "personal responsibility". Wont hold my breath. Not saying you have to agree, or change you mind. But atleast knowing what your talking about would be a start.
