The exhaust will be the first item to see the dumpster. Then the BC coil overs.

Plenty of us in ChampCar and LeMons. Here’s my hot lap at the practice day at NHMS for the 2025 LeMons race there:
Open to any and all feedback on my line, etc!!!
Car spec is built to optimise ChampCar specs/points: SETA with a cam and “i” intake/throttle body; J-Stock springs/shocks; Conti ECF 245/40/R15; NLR wing and homemade splitter.
Have had LOTS of help from many on this board getting it spec’d over the years.😀 1🥰 1Comment

Can you share more of your car? Mind starting a separate thread rather than posting it here!

It's been a few years since I've done the chicane configuration, so my memory is a little foggy on the best way to enter T1. I think I would enter T1 later and wider to carry a little more speed to have a better entry angle into 1A, which would help with tracking out at 2 closer to the wall. I think you overslowed which is why you have a lot of directional control at the apex of 2 where you make a further steering input to move more left and the car willingly scoots over. I think you can brake harder and later at 3, especially because in the config with no cones the braking zone is smooth, and with no cones, you can be track left a car's width and it becomes a wider turn with a slightly higher min speed. I'd turn in later at 6. Great line through 9, it's a bit intimidating to try to pull speed out of, and you may be maxing out your ECFs which is why the track out for 10, you haven't been pushed track left with the speed of the car. Normally if you nail 9, you get pushed pretty wide at 10 and here, you had half a car's width to the dark patch of pavement they put in due to people tracking out into the dirt.
What diff ratio are you using? I feel like this car should accelerate a little harder, because it seems like it's bogging on the uphill after T3 and it should be shredding pavement with that 2.7 super eta bottom end.

All great feedback! Agree on 3! Turn 6 still bugs me. Funny enuf, on turn 1, I was running that rounder line and the Garmin Catalyst liked the straighter line - speed around 1 was within 1mph but the distance was much shorter. But I take your point and wonder if the Catalyst is giving me min time at 1 but at the expense of 2a/2b.
The Conti ECF is a compromise but I’m getting 40+ hours out of them (which is probably why they’re a white-list tire for ChampCar.) Diff ratio is 3.73 and I think I may be a bit down on power…winter project!Comment

Right, with a lower powered car, it's often a tradeoff with distance and entry speed, and sometimes the shorter path is quicker. I hope you guys had a good race!
