    Lmao.......

My buddy had some dude drive from far, for a $15 part. Dude then try to low ball him, once he was in front of him.
My buddy said he threw the part on the floor and, broke it in front of the buyer and finished with, "the part was worth the gas you just wasted and me seeing your stupid expression as I rejected your BS offer".

    Classic.

Anyone here good with mechanical distributors? I'll give $100 to anyone that can get my 323 running properly. I'm completely over its bitchy attitude.

Tuning a Mech. Dizzy is pretty simple. It involves getting Cylinder 1 to TDC, aligning the dizzy rotor with a specific cylinder, and some other pretty basic things. But I'm not the guy to do it. I'm like you and pay people to fix dizzy issues for me. Because I hate those stupid things.

        Does yours have vacuum advance?

Yes it has vac advance. I got it close by ear but it was hunting from 200-2k rpm out of control. Went to try again a few hours later and it virtually pours gas out the tailpipe in a black mist.

There should be a notch on the distributor housing that is where the rotor should be pointing when cylinder one is set to TDC. pretty basic stuff, but a PITA if you've never done it before. I think I can find a good how-to from the VW days... brb

edit: its for a 4 cyl vw, but Im sure you could adapt it to your inline 6. theory is the same. make sure everything is set to TDC on the engine (which you can do by hand), then just make sure the rotor is pointing at the cyl 1

That's how I set it to start and it does turn over, I tried to adjust it around but it's running like complete horseshit anywhere near the mark.

At least a proper V8 swap wouldnt be too much work

edit: Is this the wiring for the brake lining sensor??

Its only in the driverside wheel well, and its obviously not connected to anything

Still more work than a manual swap

Is your brake lining light on?

A few harnesses used that plug. Ambient air temp and brake lining are two located in/around the front drivers wheel well

Well I'm still trying to sell my 525i but I get to take the things I like off of it and put it on the 530i before I sell it! And I have two cars right now so that won't change =P

It's better than the auto trans M20 and the Auto M50. Also it's a straight trade so I I'm pretty happy because I've only spent about a grand on the e30 including the purchase of it =)
