^ I got 4/5 right. Damn.
Originally posted by 2mAn View PostJust got back from the event earlier. I couldnt stay and drive the other cars around. damn work commitments... it was okay, but Im really not impressed with BMWs direction going forward, other than the fact that they are finally bringing diesels here. I really want a 335D
I tested three cars, a 7, 2, and i3. I don't remember the trim levels but the 7 series was may favorite. Never before had I been at the wheel of such a powerful car... holy shit... if I wanted to be somewhere... fffwoom. I was there. And with noise, and with presence.
The i3 was interesting. You hear about how electrics has 100% torque all the time; feels amazing coming off a stop (especially with no gears to shift), but it feels like the power teeters away at speed; I still prefer to drop down a gear if I want to go faster. Also, on that car, with the window down on the freeway, the air buffeting(?) was so bad, it felt like the door was open and being flexed against the wind. Lastly I wish there was a way to lessen the regen-braking when coming off the throttle. Otherwise I liked it. Needs a couple more years of R&D + real world driving. I can really see it excelling in the city, especially if it were smaller.
Then I got back in my e30. It's loud and slow, but it makes me happy.

The M-Sports look great though and they'd be the only one I would consider.
