Call JMP Autowerks in Reseda. They no longer make them in house but Alan is still making them at his home. Jerick at JMP can direct you to him. 818-457-4967.

Anyone know any good shops around that rebuild BMW driveshafts? Preferably in OC but I'll bring it to LA if I have to.

The only place I've found so far that does BMW ones is Drivelines Inc. in Mission Viejo, but they want $450 for the 1 new u-joint and balancing and fuck that.

They did a good job putting in a greasable u-joint.

I actually just called them at lunch, they seemed like they knew what they were talking about, quoted me $375. Is that about what you guys pay out here? I used to have a shop in RI that would do it for $200. I mean, u-joints are $20 each at most, and it should only take 2 hours of labor if you're going slow.

Has anyone found a source for replacement u-joints?

That's about normal price. The place I've used in Monrovia was $350.

I know Ireland Engineering has a place they use often. You could call Andrew and ask.
