Does anyone know if the wiring for the fuel pump is able to handle a 10amp fuse rather than the 7.5?
After installing my new pump, I blow the fuel pump fuse after about 2 hours of driving (never on short to 1 hour drives) - leading me to believe it's now barely getting into the 7.5 range causing it to blow when it's upset.
Installation consisted of 2 wires connected with solder and heat shrink.

You should be fine to run the 10 amp fuse.
I'd check the relay, maybe its creating a tiny short that's blowing the fuse out.
Yes Abby I had a similar issue and have been using a 10A fuse on the fuel pump wiring for about 2 years no issues thus far.
Edit: just curious but what pump are you using? I have the TRE e30 unit.
Good to hear. My Walbro started shitting itself after 2+ years (honestly think its a replica) and I also installed a TRE e30 unit.
Much quieter, since I have no back seating! Car's idle any drive ability is much better now too.
Hey e30 heads, I need help with my 318. Any m42 specialists out there, what I know is no oil is going to the head, can't get oil pump to prime? My schedule is fairly open. Car is parked at my place in Monterey Park. PM me

Did you recently do any work to the motor? Headgasket? Oil pan gasket? Timing case swap?
Do you know if you are u getting oil into the filter housing?
Are u cranking with the plugs in the motor? Makes it a lot easier to bleed/turn the motor over with them out.

Although I hate the drive...I am going up this weekend for my cousin's wedding.
