Prolly not...Smog exempt is 75, every once in awhile they talk about making it 85, but the reason they set 75 as the date to begin with is that was the first year the smog metering equipment was manditory on all cars sold in the states, so while yes cars in the early 60s started getting smog equipped it wasnt until 75 that it was required. So thus there really is no reason or incentive for them to move off of 7

But I remember being told by a friend of a friend who works at the DMV in sacramento that every year it comes up as to whether or not to move the smog date, and the date typically thrown around is 85, but up until now they have stuck firm to 75. Until the smog date moves to 85 theres pretty much no chance, and even if it does I honestly dont see them moving it into the 90s

Why would we??? Apparently they carve the canyons way better than an e30. After watching that video I'm convinced to sell my POS e30 for a miata.

Unless your petite I'd advise against it especially if you plan on adding a real rollbar/cage. I had one it was a 1994 model with the 1.8 . They are nice little cars but I wouldn't get one again and also miata tax is as bad as e30 tax.

The shop I work at doesn't do "machine work" but we fabricate roll cages. I take my cylinder heads to an actual machine shop. What do ya need?

A friend of mine sold his M3 years ago to get into Miata's mainly because he wanted a car he could track without guilt, it was much cheaper to run and I'm guessing just as much fun.

Body and interior are very clean, original matching vins, just missing some parts.

4/10 oil leak, sloppy suspension front and rear.

Replacing the Bilstein/Eibach with full Koni/GC setup with fresh, CAs, CABs, TRs, and SBLs.


Dropping the rear soon, will have the springs and shocks(Bilstein/Eibach) for sale, any takers?
