Soooo what are my stereo options for the 02 that allows me to have a single speaker in the center console, and doesn't require a head unit? I just want to attach the aux chord to my iphone and bump sweet tunes while I'm cruising on PCH, nodding to all the hot moms.

I'm serious about this.

iphone -> cable -> stereo to mono adapter -> small mono amp -> one speaker

the problem is getting a volume knob. the amp is probably going to have a gain screw adjustment for volume, though, so if you don't care much you can dick with that until it's good and then just use the phone volume control.

That way works, just use quality products and it will sound cool. If you want a volume knob you have to run some sort of interface, but it's not really worth it for 1 speaker.

The blue car currently has no speakers so a bag of dicks might not be such a bad thing.

Or maybe one of those portable Bluetooth Bose or Beats Pills that I can build a small case for and use it on the dash. That seems easy enough.
