The M20's long heritage and simple design makes it one of BMW's most proven engines, with the longest production time during which bugs are ironed out, kind of like the ol' chevy small block.318iS Track Rat :nice: www.drive4corners.com

No one makes this car anymore. The government won't allow them, normal people won't buy them. So it's up to us: the freaks, the weirdos, the informed. To buy them, to appreciate them, and most importantly, to drive them.

My M42 and S14 have not let me down yet...
I did smash the M42 oil pan in Georgetown last January, but I just unbolted the severely cracked pan, lined it with heavy duty aluminum foil and used an entire two tubes of JB weld to stick the pieces together. Then I used an entire tube of gasket stuff in the cracks and gasket surface to sort of seal the gaps. Let it set up for an hour or so, and filled it up with oil. Took six quarts to get it back to Parker, but it is still running like a champ (with a new pan and skid plate)!
