Fucking E46 is killing me again.
Blew the pax side motor mount (thanks for the diag Chris) two weeks ago, putting the fan into my brand new radiator.
Got the motor mounts in today, but decided I should do the tranny mounts too. The IX has a giant bush in the X-fer case instead of mounts that requires a special tool to extract and press in. Further complicating matters is the exhaust, which has studs welded to rusty nuts, in the way. Going to try to fab some kind of extractor at McGukins tomorrow. I can't get at it with a sawzall. Don't want to torch it so close to the front drive shaft.
I'm wondering what's next after this...JOY IS AN E30...

When I lived in my apartment I swear they used fertilizer in the sprinkler system. They also watered the parking lot more then the grass. I had a nice layer of paint eating grime that needed to come off now that I have my own place where the car is more protected. To give you an idea of how bad it was, he had to use the polisher to remove it from the windows as it even stuck to glass where chemicals wouldn't take it off. After the paint correction he touched up a few problem areas with paint and then opti-sealed it with product that I supplied. He also polished the wheels off of the car, opti-sealed them, painted brake calipers black, trim restore, rubber restore, etc. You will have to call him on price estimates as it varies from car to car. I had no wax/sealant applied because the opti-seal replaces that.

The CX came first, that was slightly under powered in comparison and didn't have AC, it returned low 50's if driven efficiently. The VX was tuned a little better and has AC, but can get better mileage with slightly more power. No power steering, but it's got airbags. With the rear seats down it'll haul anything. Seriously one of the best cars ever. You can swap out the entire front axle for $300 in less than an hour. People are making aero kits that make them look like giant tic tac that get 70 mpg.JOY IS AN E30...

well that car was sure not rated to get that. But impressive, I must say. I need one of those then.
And yeah, I must live under a rock since I don't actively follow the latest on fuel efficient cars...
