            I know that.

I didn't mean "cheap," I meant "not insanely expensive." I don't have money for a 20k paint job. I'd like it to look solidly decent, but it doesn't need to be 100% perfect. I don't want to cut corners, but some people are insane how much they want. I'm not building an AMBRA winning car and I don't have a 500+k budget to have every bolt on the truck chromed, with perfect paint underneath and all the crap. There are guys that do have that kind of $, but I'm not one of them at this time...

Was looking for some names/numbers of people to call about paint as I don't really know any painters...

Anybody able to recommend a good shop for bent wheel repair? One of my Ronal Turbos has the slightest bend that I want repaired.. scared to bang on it at home.

I've had good luck with these guys, not only on friends cars but also customer's cars.

Done everything from wheels off of old BMW's, to newer AMG/Mercedes stuff. They're mobile so he shows up in a box truck (not some janky looking truck, it's professional looking), he's able to do all the work out of his truck, it's been very convenient for us in the past when we find a bent wheel or need some refinishing done. Usually it's done same day.

This is good stuff right here ... I might have them take a look at my weave that is wobbly. What does it typically cost to do you know Paolo?

I know what he charges us wholesale, best way to get an idea is to give them a call and they'll give you a quote dependent on the size of wheel, etc. etc.

NO NO NO!!! Heating up wheels to repair them is very bad. It's all the way in Portland, but this guy does great work. He's actually well known in the vintage Porsche (Fuchs wheels) and Ferrari community.

Never had an issue here on wheels that are used for daily driven cars as well as occasional track cars, he's even done some wheels for us for dedicated track cars.

Not saying, i'm right, or you're wrong, but one thing is for sure, Toes is not paying to ship a wheel to Oregon and back to get it refinished.. I could be wrong though! Just wanted to share my input, from my own personal experience. I don't know anything about Skips Wheel Works.

Sorry for my ignorance but where are you getting the info that there is heat involved and that it's a bad way to repair wheels? Just curious! Thanks man.

Sorry for my visceral reaction. I had a mobile place repair one of the 16"s on my wife's old V70 R. Admittedly, she drives like a FAD (Female Asian Driver) and seems to seek out potholes. That said, I noticed the wheel was noticeably weaker after that repair. When I took my euroweaves to Skip, he mentioned he'd need 3 days to get them back into round and repair the bent one. I mentioned the mobile/fast repair places and he cringed. Now I started reading a little...and I may be wrong. And yeah, no effing way Toes is shipping a wheel to PDX paying for quality work.

Yeah the process you used with that mobile guy is completely different then the processes my guys uses.

What mobile guy did you use so we can make sure the reputation sticks with that guy and those processes and not EVERY mobile wheel guy.
