            OK OK I agree LA is the worst, just peeved about the hour to go 8 miles last Friday.

            Question, anyone ever have a like whistling sound at 3-4k rpms before? M20. I was thinking its something intake related. Like one of the hose valves or something.

                Well I did it ... I finally picked up a 75 2002. Golf Yellow. Total cost was $1.00.

                            It came with a trunk full of parts, stack of receipts, touch up paint, original owners manual, vintage clymer BMW service repair handbook, CCA BMW technical tip compendium, three original keys, and lots of surface rust. Already has weber 32/36 DGV carbs! This is going to be a fun project to do with my kid.

                                                Ooooh... super jealous. I assume you traded stuff for it? Or got it from a family member? What kind of shape is it in? I think some day I will sell the e30 and pick up a roundie 2002, not quite yet though.

                                                    Before you are too jealous ... it needs some work ... lots of surface rust. The door rust needs attention stat. I honestly paid one dollar for the car. The lady just wanted it to go to a good home. On a positive note, coco mats, wooden shift knob, and OEM plastic sunroof spoiler ... one of the books I got was written by the 50 year bmw mechanic I am friends with ... lots of little shit making this a great pick up.
