    PNW Chit Chat thread

Probably, it's also not running right, seems to have a studder under 3k ish. It's very hard to drive at low rpms.

I'm thinking it's either too large of injectors, that coil ground stud that is stripped out maybe making poor connection or the fact that I'm not running an o2 yet.

Edit: after a little research I'm leaning towards my lack of o2.

      Ya think?!

C'mon Seth - you know better..

If you do decide to go M30 are you thinking of building one, or thinking about finding one?

M30 would be cool, but it seems like a step backward from what you got in there now.. If it were me - I would stick with what you got and just try to get all the little things worked out. Or, dump it and go S50.

I told you no 02 sensor would be a giant issue....

S50 swap that bitch. They're all getting very affordable anymore.

i cant really grasp your logic on this one. you've already wasted time and money on essentially converting your car for a 24v set up (obviously very easy to reverse), so why would you dump all of that and go backwards and get an m30?!

M30's are torquey, sure. But so are S50/S52's...and they're proven to make more power with simple mods....2man is making 225whp on his m52...and it gets around 25-28mpg pretty consistently.

            :nice:

It made 206 wtrq so not a torque monster but its such a damn fun setup and a perfect daily. 34k miles and going since last May

Just fix the things it needs and drive it. These cars are a lot more fun to drive than work on

I have always said the 24v (M52 or better) was meant for the E30.

Exactly, I've ran with my M50 till I found a good deal on an S52.. If you dont care about fuel economy go with a v8 or M30.. If you want power and decent MPG 24v is hard to beat. Not to mention a shit load more mods and aftermarket support for 24v

And do you really need more Torque in these cars? They get loose in the back end with just the lowly M20 already. You'll be happier with a stronger midrange to top end.

Still wish there were some cheap swap options for screamer NA 4cyls...I really love the weight balance of the M42 over M20.

I'm telling you man, K20 swapped E30's should be a thing...I've seen guys running k24 blocks with k20a heads pushing some realllllllly impressive power. Maybe not the cheapest route, but it would be cheaper than an S14

I'm doing a M30 swap in my E30. Eventually going to be M30 turbo. MPG's are rather low on my priority list with that swap lol
