I drove one when they came out (in what, 85?) and remember thinking, even then,

'Damn, this is one primitive little tinny box on the freeway'.

Then bought a Montero. And 3 Montero transmissions....

Getting very very close. I just need to finish bolting up the engine, set all the timing yesterday. Put on the ronals as well so if anyone is looking for some euroweaves I have a set I'm looking to sell, there was some interested around $500 but I may have to lower my price..

How's the M coupe treating you? Super envious of your S54 in such a light chassis...

That looks perfect, super clean as well. I'll ask you where you got that done once I get the car running :)

Sweet man! Keep at it! Sounds like you're almost there.

The Coupe has been good. It's hibernating right now, under a cover. I miss driving it everyday. But I need to pull it out to do a brake job soon.

Anyone need a pearlbeige ski pass by the way?

Had my dad go pick me up a ski pass out of a late model IX that turned out to be early model horse hair and color....

AFAIK the natur only came in foam but might match them up when I get back home, otherwise its a nice ski pass with the little ski boot part included.

I have actually, friend of mine in the HS days had several of them.

I guess I don't have much against Toyota.. I just see so many of them everywhere I have no desire to own one again.

My 4runner was okay, but it was just plain, cold, had no real personality, and everyday I saw 200 of the damn things.. that and for the price I honestly didn't see the point when I can get something else just as capable for half.

Kind of why I want a Pickup and not a tacoma, I really like the style of the Toyota pickups, even if they are slow.

Only negatives I really have about my parents 91 4runner from driving it is it feels big. But I own a Suzuki and a E30 so...

How about the 2.7 Tacomas having a v6 dipstick that doesn’t measure right. I am still amazed how lame that is.

$4000 is bad, even with 200K. It'll probably still run another 100K..

..Or another grand and you get the 22RE, which will last forever.

If you like doing head gaskets every 60-75k, sure, it'll last forever...

You must be confusing the 22RE for a Subaru boxer

                              I love my Toyota'baru though!
