In terms of overall package, I'd buy the E46 M3. The S54 alone is worth it.-Brad, AlphaTeam Motorwerks, LLC

RainRider, I don't think you'd be unhappy with either choice. I think you'd be more inclined to keep the M3 a "nice" car, to be honest - If I were in your position i'd be pretty interested in the 1. This train wreck is making for horrible traffic. My buddy said he got off 512 at 1130am and it took 6 hours to get to the roy y, and he finally got home at 1245 am. Insane.
Puget sound has the worst roads to get out of town. If there were to be a mass evacuation im not leaving unless i have dirt bikes for my family. No damn point, id rather just chug a bottle of bourbon and smoke a cigar than die in a traffic jam half a mile from my house

E46 M3 will also NOT drop very much more in value from this point forward. Hagerty has had the E46 M3 on their future classic's article 2 years in a row now as the #1 pick for a future classic. Now's the time to buy if you want to get into something awesome.
We all kick ourselves for not getting an E30 M3 5 years ago....look where we are now-Brad, AlphaTeam Motorwerks, LLC
