$1000-2000 for a BMW top, $3000-5000 for a Weismann top (If you can find one, and it probably wont be in the US).

I wholly believe, but don't want to believe that he'd pay $5,000 for mid-late 70s Firebird. It did have an exorbitant amount of gauges tacked on there, so maybe that's where a bunch of the cost came in.

He had either crap headers, crap muffler, or crap pipes too, sounded pretty constrained. Not sure what the goal was with the car. Maybe just to be a "muscle car" to impress his buddies. Who knows what highschool kids today are into besides hannah montana and bullshit.
