You can use 6x9's in the rear with some lifter plates. I have some older 2-way Boston Acoustics and they sound awesome. However, 6x9's do scream "steal me," so most choose not to go that route. You can fit any 5.25 driver in the premium speaker housing and trim the grill to fit, so you get good sound, but keep it stock looking.

          On the topic of sound:

My car doesn't have premium sound. When I took my door cards triangle covers off, I noticed that there were a pair of wires neatly folded behind the cover. Would these be for the option of heated mirrors, or do think that they are for the option of premium sound?

I've got some 5.25" sonys that i need to get rid of, used for under a year. I made a thread but it looks to have been lost to the ether.

I'm interested. Anything is better than what is in Diamondshart now.

God damn... stupid ignition lock cylinder broke. It only goes to the on position, wont turn far enough to engage the starter. story short my buddy and I unscrewed the bottom panel, pried it off (and sadly broke it) and then pried the electrical unit off of the lock cylinder. So now I have to stick a key in the orange thing and turn it then stick it where it normally goes to unlock the column. Not that big of a pain but makes me mad. Thanks James Crivellone for the help :)

Hey 5-toes - your motto should be "I break everything I try to fix"

If you get pulled over, and a cop sees a broken ignition lock, depending on the cop, you might end up on the ground hand cuffed. They might detain you until the can make sure the car isn't stolen.

Well, at least that what would happen in SoCal. PNW might be different. Just FYI.

Thanks for the heads up George. I have the key though, and the title is in my Dads name so I can easily explain myself.

                          But yeah that would suck.

I have set a budget of like $200 for future repairs. When that goes out, car is getting parted or sold or something
