Stuff for sale, unless you put some cash down to hold it, is usually first come first serve.

Think about it this way: should he turn away a buyer with cash in hand because a guy from Bremerton *might* drive all the way down to Portland to come get his engine? With the number of no-shows I've dealt with selling ish on CL, I can't fault the seller. IMHO.

You might as well pull the head and see if it's toast. If not, bottom ends are a dime a dozen.

As soon as I pull the engine I will pull the head and see what type of thing I am getting into.

My bottom end did have a slight knock when cold though, so might as well get a new engine

He's a very cool guy, just have to make sure you have everything set with open communication. Not to mention you're coming from WA, another state. You have to convince beyond any doubt you're coming & in that situation should be same day. I drove 4 hours away for my car & kept insane communication with the seller I was coming. Updates every hour & etc.

Just look for another engine, it just wasn't meant to be. Eric is top scale shit, friends with Austin, before even meeting me, but sold me his transmission when Austin's went out, because of a few important factors, but the top one of them all being communication. I was literally harassing him kinda for that transmission & he wasn't even in Oregon at the time

Edit: Selling a 88 325i perfect cluster that was bought from Phil. Need this sold ASAP to get a 87 325i Cluster. Thanks for spreading the word guys.

Exactly. I wasn't mad, a little disappointed, but it's strictly business and I held nothing against either of you.
