                    Question of worth:

I have a Getrag 260 (late model. Had it in my 325is). Even with all new bushings the shifter was sloppy as hell and would touch the center console in reverse, 1st, 3rd, and 5th. Also in 3rd and 4th the transmission would groan while accelerating. But the gears would shift smoothly and would not grind while engaging albeit sloppy. Also I think the bracket for the exhaust hanger is chipped off.

What is it worth? Anything? Is there a place the recycles these or anyone want to rebuild it? I also have a shifter (I was told it was a Z4 shifter, I bought it from Brad) that can come with it. I mean it works; I had it in my car for a year and a half but I just got tired of the noisy and sloppy bullshit.

T56 feels like you are driving a truck.

T56 magnum (in non OEM form) doesn't even feel like that. No padding at all, just a big CLUNK when you drop it into gear. Really satisfying but makes me long for the tr6060 (GM-branded T56 magnum) from a Camaro SS or CTS-V Coupe.
