Agreed, but 24v is obviously more superior :)

Depends on what you are going for.

I4 are superior in handling and MPG
V8's are superior in a straight line
I6 are a balance between the previous 2
          IMO .02

V8 vs I4 has nothing to do with handling, the weight distribution of the car does. A lightweight V8 like the McClaren 3.8L centered midship will handle wonderfully, as will the Corvette setup because it has that weighty transaxel in the back.

Either way there are way too many factors between cars to dictate much of any rules. My V8 weighs less and gets better mpg (typically) than a lot of 6'ers, so like I said, there are a ton of factors at play.

I had a feeling this would come up, yes if you engineer the car correctly you can get a V8 to handle well, but I was mostly referring to our E30's and the argument of which is the more superior swap/motor. You can have fun with a 80hp car as long as you enjoy it. Power isn't everything.

That is exactly correct, I loved mine with 140HP and I love it with 450HP, it's just different.

Does anyone know of a place where I could get a weight readout on all four corners? I'd be curious to see what the distribution is since my block is lighter than stock but my tranny is heaver/longer.

I'm finally getting around to swapping the f'd up cam for a new one and as soon as I slide out the rocker shafts I see that half the rocker pads (no idea on terminology, the area where the rocker rides on the cam) are in a nice smooth sine wave shape. Wtf?

Oh and I'm a v8 fanboy. Small physical foot print, lots of potential power. :D Although, the six'er does sound might nice with a decent exhaust setup.

Nah I am not into wearing women's clothing ;)

JK, but everything is built for a purpose and my car doesn't belong at a drag
