      I never can have one full "good" day. I think the universe is plotting against me. Oh well, I just got another one and will put it in before Easter lunch tomorrow.

              Well the sad news is my tranny just needs to have a solder joint gone over. The good news is... The wife has given me to go ahead on the swap. Yay!! Happy wife happy life

                also with some bad news:(

                right once i thought i was done...

                well CEL came on, blinked i hit the gas went away.
                So i do stomp test, and were looking at code 1222 which is the lambda thing:( worst one. Ugh!
                So i went back and checked the vacuum lines, they all appear to be good... tightened them down a bit also..
                Coolant system is bled..
                Pushed oil dipstick holder all the way down.. i realized it wasnt all the way down..
                ... still spits the code.
                The car surges idle from 600-1000 then after its warm 600-800ish... at idle
                For now plans are fuel pressure, leak down test... and while im at it compression also.
                Anyone have any insight on what else i could check for now?

                        Look at your 02 sensor and AFM.

                            Well I tested the o2 this is what I came up with
                            13.9v
                            13.9v
                            .3v
                            .589v

                            Also took the oil cap off car died right away.

                              For your o2 sensor, check resistance with ohms. Don't want to test volts.

                                Cam swap done. Didn't remove the head. Car feels much stronger. It's been a good weekend.
