Think you'll have an engine by the end of winter?
I may have the motor as soon as next week, this guy is local, so no shipping from cali anymore, I gave him cash down, so i have to pay him in full to take it home. I have 750 in paypal, and im selling the m30 manifold and thats done.

Looks like an awesome start to an incredible ride!
I think I may keep these few updates here, there will be a point of dead time unless a 100 dollar shell/scrap yard e30 falls into my lap for aligning, squaring up and measuring off for engine mounts.

I will probably mess around and clean up the wiring harness tonight a little, theres a lot wires i dont need at all. Mostly airbag, stereo, automatic crap.. but bmw had thought into it, they kept the main loom seperate from most of the Hvac and display/idrive stuff.

        Thanks Austin.

I don't want to jump the gun too early, but this doesn't seem as hard as it sounds.. By word of mouth the oil pan will need modification, but I want to see how an IX pan and oil pick up compare, both parts numbers are different, and they differ in physical looks.

I think the good part is, there isn't a high demand for this engine yet, The price was incredible.

Wallet is a bit light this month after ordering all this:
          Brakes all around
          Bilstein sports all around
          Complete Lemforder suspension.

Nice pickup! Cheers to a better riding e30.

            EDIT:
Going to start the organization on this at 5..

            edit:
Had it untangled at about 6:10
please dont laugh at me :/ lol

            edit:
plugged in modules and took a break, next is pulling out not needed wiring, which is about %60, airbag, stereo, g-force, rear window heating, lighting, idrive, display screen, automatic.. anything that goes up a door frame, to the ceiling or into the doors are cut off, abs,dsc sensors gone, anything that goes into the door also chopped.

                    hahaha!
Better yet, this is like putting together fucken, Ikea furniture!

lol, its actually not too bad with the diagram, I've eliminated most obvious wiring first, Ill move onto the fuse box next, trace and cut. The loom leading to the driver side rear was nearly 2 inches in diameter so it's a doozy.

So I'm on my first round of sanding a car and it has a chalky look. Google search isn't working out well so any ideas to get a more smooth look/not feel because it's smooth already. I'm at 320 grit btw.

Lookin much better right now :) found a 47 pin abs connection I don't need (no abs for me in my early model)
that and more lighting stuff. That's about 30 wires I don't need, it's a lot of work.

if I was lazy id simply cut and tape off the areas and stop messing about, but I want people to so this after me, so anything hardships I have will make your life easier later :)
