Yea they make quite a few more affordable options in europe, cars normal people could afford, but for some reason the north american market has always been dictated as high end luxury for BMW. They tried the 320i the last few years and as far as ive seen its not working.

and a LSx in a BMW is deadly in the wrong hands. Ive ridden in 3 different LS powered BMWs ( 2 E30s, and 1 E36) and I was almost killed

The more I think about an LS in my e30 the more I want to do it...

I'm thinking about a massive brakes booster delete to start the ball rolling, something I can do now that will be done later when swap happens... Gotta do something either way, swapping 24v or LS so may as well do it. Any pointers on booster deletes and such?

You'll need some sort of hydroboost setup. Mine is from a Mustang Cobra R but there are some aftermarket companies who just do that. Wilwood I think does one, come to think of it. Starting with brakes for any kind of swap is a good move, but getting rid of the booster is a weird one. How about better discs or suspension upgrades? Or getting a good diff setup?

I had to get a racing diff mount and the diff alone was $1,500 custom made.

That M42 isnt enough for you anymore?? A 24v is a great motor for the E30, the LSx is simply a monster

I was under the impression that a booster delete isn't that bad when you alter the lever ratio of the pedal, I just looked on ebay and a cobra hydroboost is cheaper than a massive delete kit at ~$150-180. That might win out then even though I don't want to put any F#@D parts in my car

Its ok I suppose, and pretty fun to drive, but I want some more monster under the hood... ;D

Also my M42 is making awesome timing chain tick when cold, been doing it for ~12k miles... I changed the tensioner and found what I think was an m60 tensioner in there... That was ~3k miles ago and the clicking was gone but reappeared last week-ish.
Edit: Also aluminum in the last 3 oil filters, changes @ 4k miles.

When you have that much power under your foot, you don't want to mess around with not having as much brake as you can. Don't think about skimping and not having proper power brakes, just not worth it. You'll need that kit and then the parts to actually hook it up to the existing setup. It isn't copy/paste.

That's a bit different though, in this case the systems run completely independently, it's mechanical linkeage between things that are going to be less than ideal when you start plug/playing things.

I was emailing for a while with Jonathan Ward, in charge of ICON, who makes $200,000 Broncos and such. They use this guy, he says the feel is infinitely better than hydroboost.
