Currently, NA auto. But, he's already got a turbo 2jz and a 5sp sitting in the garage from a mk3 supra project he's been working on forever. So! It'll be a turbo 2jz 5sp mk4 here before you know it.

There is no argument. OBD2 is better but OBD1 is easier/cheaper

This. obd1 is the cheaper route. obd2 is far more superior. And if you're doing an obd2 S52 swap, its literally just capping the SAP ports on the headers (unless you're running aftermarket headers), and getting the DME reflashed. A little pricey, but well worth it. Plus Dave Markert can remotely tune my car from the East coast....fuckkkkkkin cool!!!

I guess i didnt have to worry about that since i had the harness and DME worked on by vendors. BUT well worth the money. and hassle free. Car literally started first try without much effort.

Not really. Biggest difference is running OBD1 ECU out of the box vs obd2 needing to be flashed. Its worth it, if you can afford it

I've owned both obd1 S50 and obd2 S52. Both great setups. Nothing wrong with obd1 at all. In fact, I enjoy its simplicity. But i'll take live data readouts, real codes and remote tuning all day :up:

I've heard of people converting their body harness to obd2. How do you even do that?!

Purchased the harness from Kadunza. Great guys over there. The harness was dummy proof too. Literally just plug and play with everything nicely labeled and cleaned up.

I assume you mean the behind the dash harness for EWS, this is why we delete that garbage from the ECU

ahhhh. EWS...yeah I had them reflash EWS, SAP, post cats, and a few other things out of the DME.

harness ran me $510 shipped. I didnt do the spal harness, as I'm using Dave Markerts DIY to run the stock Aux fan off of a 80C temp switch. Works great. But I did have them integrate the OBD2 port.
