Wow way to prove what a bunch of douche bags you people are.

Again, sorry that your car is messed up, don't let the thread crapping and jackasses discourage you.

Eat a dick. My problem is your venereal spewing without any real thought in the matter. You come in here acting like a perfect little prissy douche and get ask offended when someone calls you the fag you're being? Go back to the socal threads, dildo. It's hilarious you resort to the defense comments... I work with Stacey. So yeah, if sticking up for a friend is white knight behavior, sure. I've seen how she drives, low and slow. Don't be such a cock and there's no issues.

so our roads that have more time to collect oil and other forms of lubricants due to the fact that it rarely rains here are less slick than yours after 2 weeks of no rain? lol.

ck_taft325is, Jesse30 was merely pointing out that the OP is indeed at fault for the accident. They tried to make it clear by bolding a statement in the post saying they weren't really at fault, and that the weather was to blame. Jesse30 corrected them by noting that they were at fault, not the weather.

It doesn't matter how slippery the road is when it's wet. If you're driving down a 45 degree slope at 1mph and it's covered in pure ice, you obviously will pick up speed and won't be able to stop until you hit something. That is STILL your fault. You are maneuvering the vehicle, it's not driving itself. You chose to bring it to a certain speed in certain conditions in a certain area, that is your responsibility.

There are very few circumstances where you rear end somewhere where it's not considered your fault, and this does not appear to be one of them. Lesson learned, drive slower, keep a greater following distance, and drive more defenselessly then what you did in that situation. None of us are saying we don't do the exact same thing you did (following too close), but if we would have crashed, it would have been our fault, not the weather's fault. When I first got my license I went around a posted 25mph corner in the rain doing about 20mph and slid straight into an oncoming truck. Same deal, oil slick wet roads. The cop actually slid and almost fell getting out of his car, it was bad. He still ticketed me, on top of the insurance claim, because I was driving too fast for the conditions. I haven't been in an at-fault accident since, 300k+ miles and 11 years later. But I've followed too closely, not slowed down enough for the conditions, etc... And had something happened, I'd accept responsibility.

Quit the name calling, really. You aren't 12.

OP, that was an awesome car, sorry to see it smashed up. Hope you get it fixed up or find a suitable replacement, and your own injuries aren't too severe.

                              Hey Jesse, 2 quick questions,

                              1. Have you ever had an accident?

                              2. Do you have insurance?
