Yes, Thanks for that idea! I shipped it off to projectJTv4 today. He'll pass it on to the next guy who needs it when he's done....

That would make sense, I didn't think that much into it.
That part you listed from ECS is the one that I used. I still had to trim the baffle top a little to get the pan on.

Send me your address, I have extras. Just go slow when you weld it; I warped the first one pretty bad and had to start over. I also don't know if the sender will actually display the level correctly...

Anywhere in that area will work. I had the power steering pump on but not that bracket it your second picture, when I mocked it up. I used the arms on my engine stand to bend the dipstick tube and get...

Thanks!! Lots of work but rewarding to see them on the motor, knowing I modified them. Engine is ready to go in. Time to push it into the corner and start engine bay work. Been procrastinating that...

Thanks again adam.nonis!! Got those cam bolts installed. They are shallow and the exhaust side are super difficult to get a torx on. While I was in there I installed MILVs, that turned into a nightmare....

hoveringuy, I have the same bolts in your picture but the original recall part number is NLA. Seems BMW doesn't have a solution for these right now. The donor car VIN is in the 23V-707 recall. Another...

Yeah, I plan to bypass the IVM for that diag to ECU, no need to pass through it. I've never wired a swap, just want to understand the components.

Been geeking out on wiring stuff. Doesn't seem overly complicated but be nice to be certain of what I can and can't pull out of the harness before install. Couldn't find much on the IVM. Got the multimeter...
