        My friend was the one who did the group buy on the ATI. As far as I know all of them have been deliverd and most installed at this point. Those guys are a pain to deal with (ATI) also each unit has to be machined to a motor. The diameter of the snout has to measured to .001" i believe.

          Engine swap to Alpina 2700cc 10.5:1 high compression :P

                yeah, I told him about that too. hell, if you want, I've got a cast one laying around.. I don't have an intermediate shaft pulley though.

                    Stamped was the only stuff avail in 1987!!

                    But they are both in the recycle parts bin now!!

                    Both oil sprocket and head sprocket have been replaced by the heavier (newer) cast items.

                    Slightly reluctantly so but better durable and heavy than damaged.

                    Found some spares while hunting for dizzy delete gear/needle bearing holder item for oil drive conversion gear; I got a needle bearing holder w new bearing already installed yay.


                    Conversion to new style sprocket was needed for motronic 1.3 no? My euro m20 sprocket and cover had no mounting for USA style stuff so I had to use the one Dave sent me.

                    CAM sprocket installed (cast)

                    3 bolt dizzy rotor mounting + it's torx hardware (change from euro's 15mm) retained from original USA ETA engine/

                    dowel pin in the camshaft was removed to fit the cast cam sprocket in place of stamped.

                    happy new rubbers (no longer 1987!!)


                    I wonder if there is a harder durometer rubber bumper avail oem Motorsports, perhaps for e30 sa 327i or something



                    Three trash one spare.





                    Bitch tube was not a bitch at all, fuel rail + cluster temp sensor was a bitch, so water house was tapped for quick change cluster sender :)

                    Og metal end dipstick retained because plastic is yucky.





                    Euro non ps alt bracket and lower timing cover with place for a crank position sensor at actual tdc retained..can try its position for a cam trigger for another dme evolution later :) this is same as ETA's FYI



                    Locked and loaded. For install upcoming pretty soon

                            Progress.






                            S52 transmission mounts installed. They are identical geometry to g260

                            G260 big guibo is also identical fit to e36/46/34/28M cars so a harder durometer OEM BMW e36m guibo with its 18mm bolt head hardware was fitted instead of the eta guibo and hardware. This will be more durable than the super squishy ETA large guibo.

                            Hardware swap was not needed but..... Newer bolts are newer.

                            Driveline installed. Mmmmm headers.....
