Also - you should fill in the little trays things on the top IMHO. Completely worthless after your first hard corner, and it makes the design that much harder.

In the picture on the Ebay add, I don't think the part is glued down...If you look at the bottom edge, it is just hanging out there.

I think I will be pulling the trigger on one soon to try out...

I was thinking about this too, instead of spending $800 to get a new dash get it wrapped in leather The new M3, M4's offer it and the L6 & L7 featured it

                LOL. Thats what I thought.

Side note: I paid $725 for a new dash mid last year from Tischer BMW and I drove 1.5 hours one way to pick it up. Also got a killer deal on a new BMW drivers fender that they also had in stock.

Interested to see how this goes. I have been looking into this for awhile, but that pic always threw me off.

I have a crack in my dash and since all the rest of my car is now wrapped in leather I figured I would do the dash as well.

there is a bmw restoration shop in the old las vegas airport fire station that wraps dashes and other interior parts. they use a vinyl that looks very much like leather. i have seen an e30 and an '02 dash they have done with excellent results. it looks so good, that i will probably have them do my interior when the time comes.

These guys? They mentioned $100k e30 restoration. Something tells me they're out of most of our price ranges.

Here's an option other than wrapping it.

Leather or vinyl wrap looks awesome if it's done tastefully but has the opposite effect if it's not. Also the wrap can't be too thick either. This is what we NEED.
