Shift Lever and Short Shifters

hey everyone!!!
I have an 84 318.. i just bought a z4 short shifter... but there is a problem =/ my shifter is hitting the driveshaft... btw i have a 1991 aluminum bar .... need help to fix problem asap

anybody knows how short is shifter from 2004 330Ci? I founded wracked car so shifter is mine for free...

I purchased the new style full carrier shifter from a guy named "Kazespeed" on eBay, maybe get in contact with the seller and see if he can get that item. If he can't get it anymore, or doesn't want to, I can look into it, but I may have to buy a small quantity, so my prices may not be as attractive as the $50 kaze had them posted. It may even be cheaper, too, we'll see.

Well folks, I just installed the Full Auto Solutions kit and its very BAD ASS. The parts all seemed very high quality and tech support is very knowledgeable. It was a pain in the ass to install, had to lower the tranny and so on but very worth it.

What shift knob is this?

^^The rod section can wear. Doesnt really get extremely worn, because it has another bushing around it when it is in place. Not a terrible idea to replace it while you are in there to make the job more complete. The clip part itself usually doesnt cause any problems, unless the little tab that retains it is broken.

Is the bitch clip a wear part/should I replace it? I've got the tranny out of the car, I installed delrin shift carrier bushings but there is still a tiny bit of wiggle room due to the slop in the bitch clip/tranny housing. Not sure if I should replace the clip before I reinstall the tranny?
