The one in the picture on their site is a Z3 1.9 shifter. It probably is the 29% throw reduction shifter (99% sure of that). Z3 2.8 is probably the 40% reduction and M-coupe is probably the 50% reduction.

The Pelican kit looks like it's got all the good stuff, but I think if you shop around for individual parts (or buy direct from the dealer with the CCA discount) you will save at least $15. Those prices seem a bit high, but they are in the business of making money.

I'm trying to decide whether to go with this and the pelican parts bushing kit (http://www.pelicanparts.com/BMW/cata...Tshift_pg1.htm)

or the KO performance kit http://www.koperformance.com/online_...h-UUC-Hardware (which is a good bit cheaper if it has everything)

They say it comes with everything necessary, but I just wanted to see a parts breakdown. Anyone ordered this particular kit? The price looks good compared to everyone else, and it looks as if a few people in this thread have already recommended these guys, so.....

You need to rebuild the assembly with fresh bushings. That's where a lot of the play comes from. Replace the shifter while you are in there and it'll feel like new.

I rebuild my whole shifter last year but gear stick remained original, wanted Z3 1.9 but never sure how short it would be.
A couple of days ago I took for a spin friends E34 525i with freshly installed Z3 shifter, it feels really great, short but not notchy, also I noticed klik-klak sound when changing gears, my M20 gearbox feels like going through pudding when shifting?
