Painting tail lights is seriously not that hard. If you pay for someone else to do it then you have no skills. All it takes is a little patience and know-how.

Ummmm, that's kind of how the world works. If you don't have the skills, know-how or patience to do a job yourself, you have someone else do it for you.

I have enough skills to do the job but don't really have the skills with painting to trust myself to do it that well.

I used Testor's spray tint on my front sidemarkers and it turned out great, you cant see them in the bumper strip but they light up perfectly amber when the turn signal is on.

i did mine with some not so expensive LIMCO 2 part urethane clear coat (for t3h uber shines) after the testors, and i sprayed it with that 20$ harbor freight hvlp gun. Its been a year and it still looks like its wet from spraying, and i didnt even wetsand polish wax blah. followd directions and the flow was perfect, and It still looks tities and it looks like itll be like that for a long time.

I only had to wetsand and polish mine because for some reason it came out orange peeled.

And the stuff I used was in a can, it was a 2 part can, you had to take this thing off the cap and jam it in the bottom, which punctured the reservoir inside that contained the catalyst. After that, you had about 4 hours to use it before it actually all hardened in the can.

Good to know - I am going to give it a shot - nothing to lose anyway! :) If they turn out like crap I will save my cash for MHW's.

i did mine a couple of weeks ago. very easy to do like everyelse says tape off the corners and paint. i also put on 2 coats of clear because the red i used didnt match the shine of the plastic.
