I painted the valve cover and the intake manifold with crinkle paint. Looks good I think.Click image for larger version

I have an ETA so I'm just using my stock drive-shaft since it already comes with the big guibo. For transmission I'm using a G260/6. It should just be a bolt on deal.

Congrats on the swap choice, you'll love the M30 torque at ANY RPM.

Thanks! Your swap thread was a great source of info. I'm sure I'll be asking you for some advice.

Yeah, always try to have 1 or 2 extras on hand. Do you need one?

Yes. I'm missing the ECU, down pipes and exhaust. Let me know how much.

The e32 or e34 535/735 downpipes work even with front swaybar in place.

I sent you a pm re 179 dme.

Couldn't find a clear answer to this. Can you remove the rails #15 & 19 without pulling the chain?

With all the work you will be doing to replace those rails, pulling the chain is nothing. You have to remove the upper and lower timing case covers, which also means removing the crank nut on the front.

crank nut = ungodly TQ. And reverse threaded too IIRC

Nope, standard thread direction. I wailed away for about 5 minutes with a good impact gun to get mine off.

i tried mine with an impact, and also with a 3 foot cheater bar. i ended up bending the pry bar i was using to lock the crank in place.

Had no issues with that, locked it at the back/flywheel area and used air gun.
