How many of you doing M60 has checked the heads before dropping it in? Mine was low-ish mileage, saw the car running first (110k kms) and sent the heads out just in case. Worn, as in VERY worn exhaust valve guides, and super shitty intake and exhaust seats. Anybody else??Comment

In my M60b44 I had the guides replaced and head work done but I must have gotten lucky cause they were off the car already (unknown info on car)Comment

Updaaates!!!
Well, I finally got some time for me, and I managed to get some work done.
I put the engine back together, all new seals, gaskets etc etc etc etc


M5 throttle bodies bolted in place, and throttle bellcrank bolted too. I just have to fabricate a couple of arms, and good to go

Headers also bolted nicely



And finally, sitting home!!




And I think I'll have to raise the suspension...

Dude your car/build/engine/everything is clean as fuck. Super jelly of the velocity stacks.
I'm surprised at how low the engine sits in the bay. Are you gonna have any room for some kind of air cleaner on top of those stacks? I imagine it's gonna be pretty close to the hood.Comment

Well, I highly doubt the stacks will fit.... I'm having another ones 3D printed, much shorter (and the finish is just like the valve covers, which is a plus), and we'll see how they fit.
As for the air filters... meh, overrated. I guess I'll keep those stacks for one of the S38s I got sitting here :DComment

Do you have any pics of the headers before you wrapped them? Does the steering shaft go down in between the primaries?Comment
