For the LS2 water pump. Did you need to change anything else to run it? The engine I used is a LS1 from a 04 GTO. I would like to gain some space between the rad for a fan.

Just an adapter I can give you the specs if you want through pm

To do this right (for max clearance) you'll need an LS2 crank pulley, tensioner, idler (?) and PS/Alternator brackets. You also need LS2 PS pump and reservoir if you're running PS and possibly an LS2 style alternator. I'm not sure if alternators are the same or not.
You can use water pump spacers but that pushes the inlet/outlet even closer to the rad than LS1 pump and you don't really gain as much clearance overall.
Met rey335 last week, this guy is determined and a true DIY enthusiast. I look forward to seeing his build completed. Keep it up man, you got a great support group and "go get it" attitude!

Can you post a picture of it installed in your engine bay? Whats the difference between the ls1 and ls2 water pump?

Sad to say but he's wrong. All you need to do is get the ls2 water pump and spacers made from wegner.com. Then a ctsV serpentine belt with like 6 spacers from Home Depot and everything will align up.

Thanks bro! I'm down for some more expensive $30 Mexican food again loool.
Ps. We over paid for some Mexican food with no nacho cheese or salsa.

Yes you can run water pump spacers and everything will line up, no issues there, BUT, and someone please correct me if im wrong, the inlet and outlet of the LS2 pump protrude the same amount as the LS1 pump in stock form. Using the WP spacers will push them out even further. So as far as additional clearance goes, you may gain a bit with LS2 pump + spacers, but you might have interference with the inlets/outlets.

I highly doubt an inch or two will interfere with that by that much. We probably won't even notice it.
