thank you, although i did decide against them.

i will prob do some sportmax 16x8 +0, although i am unsure of tires. need to do this as cheap as possible. billy sports, cosmos, 16x8 +0 and what, 215/45's? i am not afraid of rolling fenders, and i do have the high arches. any input? writing this all down for when it's time.

The +0 sportmax wheels are the completely wrong offset for an E30, in my opinion. They make +15 and +20 wheels, which actually fit our cars. To run the +0s you're looking at heavy fender rolling and 205 tires at the most. And you'll be left with slightly tweaked steering response and horrible camber wear on the tires.

Without a fender roll, 215/40 is the max. With rolling, 225/40 is possible.

I have a '90 4 door, lowered on BavAuto springs, fenders rolled slightly. Looking to stuff some 16x9's in the fenders, either KT1's or Azevs. I'm thinking et +15 or so. Definitely going for something near to flush, but nothing crazy.

I want to get some decent rubber onto these, not diggin the whole stretched tire thing. I was thinking about wrapping them in 225/45zr16 BF goodrich g-forces. Will this tire size rub at all in your best estimates? Are there better sizes available to use for this wheel w/o stretching the tire to all hell?

Serious rubbing, car probably wouldn't roll. You can't fit 16x9 +15 with anything but severely stretched tires, unless you pull the fenders and/or add flares.

215/45 and 225/45 are significantly more expensive than 225/50. I know the outer diameter will be off, making the speedometer slightly slower. But will this cause an increase chance of rubbing even if i thoroughly roll the fenders? I'm honestly not a fan of stretch.

I'll be doing an e36m3/Ti 5 lug conversion if that matters.

....unless someone can point me to some decently priced tires (for autox/some daily).

You will contact multiple sections of the front wheel wells with 225/50. Also, with the E36 5-lug conversion those wheels will be flush or past flush. 205/45 would be the tire to run with that, you'll have to stretch.

I guess the questions are, which backspacing would be best, and will the brake caliper clear, which i suppose i would have to ask the manufacturer.

edit: nevermind, they do offer DOT legal wheels, but not in 4x100. :(

The backspace of 4.75" equals about ET6.

15x8 +6 is very, very aggressive. You're looking at 195/55 tires stretched on, plus a flat fender roll in the back. And it still might rub.

Im about to seal the deal on some bbs wheels:

originally they started out as 15x6.5 et33 all around. with the bigger lips, it changes the specs to 15x7.5 et20 (1.5" BFI lip) and 15x8.5 et7(2.5" BFI lip).

The fronts should fit no problem as i currently have Ronals LS which are 15X7.5 and a 20 something offset(i think) with 225/50/15 tires.

Will the rears fit OK? that's not too aggressive an offset for my setup?

My Car (e30) has H&R springs, with rolled fenders all round and im going to lower the spring hats soon.

honestly. You may want to back down your lip choices, perhaps by a half inch (leaving you with 15x8 +16 and 15x8.5 +9).

So It sounds like my setup would be recommended based on the advice i found in previous posts! Saweet now any idea tire size wise?

i just want to confirm

i am going 16x9 et15 all the way around. i know the front will need a 3mm or 5mm spacer to clear the strut housing.

i want to run 225/40/16 or 225/45/16 tires all the way around. i dont want a huge amount of stretch

will it work?

i am not afraid to roll fenders, and i do have a stiff coilover setup with camber plates.

also how much spacer could i run in the back to get it looking a little more even with the front (late model e30)
