I like as much rubber as I can fit under the wheel wells as possible without pulling fenders. Heavy, flat rolling is ok with me, but I don't want to modify the exterior appearance of the fenders (nor by accident either )
Have a 17x8 and 17x9 set up, et20 and et19, respectively. On e30m3 suspension so basically the same as reg non-m set up if I'm not mistaken.
Little to no stretch is best. The less stretch the better, the more tire the better. Will probably end up some track time on this set up too. Full coils/koni/gc plates suspension. What can I fit under my late model?
Been searching and have some thoughts, but want to see if yours match up.
Thanks.Comment

The K1 that tire rack sells(I think they bought the cash or remade them or something) are ET38 and 15x7.
How much spacer would I need to mount 225.50.15 on them? My old Fittipaldi 5 Spokes were 15x7 ET20 and that fits the 225s perfectly. So running a 20mm spacer all around sounds like the best option if I choose to go that route?
Potentially may just go with the TR Motorsports 15x8 wheel as it would be an easier fitment and much cheaper without having to buy all the spacers.Comment

You're not fitting 17x9 et19s on the back without stretched tires and/or pulled fenders, in my opinion. If you want to avoid stretch you're looking at a 235/40 or 245/35, and either will most likely rub even with flatly rolled fenders. I've witnessed a FLAT roll on an '87 (early arches), 17x8 et20 with 235/40/17 tires...it rubbed very frequently. Your setup is even more aggressive, with less forgiving arches. Not a chance man.
Lastly, if et19 is just plain too much - milling the inside of the wheel-to-hub surface a few mm's a bad idea?
edit: Decided on 215/40 and 235/40 for the 17x8/9 combo. Correct me if that sounds wrong.Last edited by MIKe30; 10-14-2009, 07:23 PM.Comment

uh oh. May have just made an expensive mistake. Also, I was thinking 225/35 or 225/40's for the front 17x8 but doesn't look like there are too many options there in a high performance summer tire.

Tire sizes sound good.Comment
