I too believe all e30s are worth $1,500... now get to posting lower prices for me to buy them up at.

Yes, regular E30s should always be around $1000USD equivalent from 2005.

The show also says that a Triumph Herald is worth $100,000.

That has to be a typo, lol.

Jay probably just doesn't care about the E30.

FWIW, I actually enjoy Jay's youtube channel. There's a lot of cool stuff he knows about and he's really into a wide variety of cars and knows way more than most people (and certainly celebrities). But he's older and his taste in cars reflects that - maybe the E30, and BMWs in general, are just a blind spot.

Anyway, as they say, do not attribute to malice what can be attributed to incompetence.. or something like that.

                    I didn't mind the segment - yes, his e30 price is a bit 2005!

I think you'll find he means that specific Triumph Herald is worth $100k - if you watched the segment through, it's the actual one from the Abbey Road album cover (parked on the left, past the bug!)

Does that make the Bug worth $200,000?

I still call foul. With all the people involved in the production of this segment, NO ONE is familiar with Hagerty price guides OR Bring-A-Trailer? It's a half-assed effort and really calls into question the validity of anything said on Leno's channel.

And that Beatle Beetle? Yeah, probably $200k minimum.

I can't remember a BMW on Jay's YouTube channel that wasn't modified and owned by someone else. Like he's never trotted out a nice 3.0cs or 2002tii or something. For whatever reason he's not a BMW guy it seems. Which seems weird for a car guy who's career took off in late 70s and early 1980s but whatever
