That weird. I've ordered a bunch of stuff from FCP Euro in the past few months and haven't had any problems.

i'll get a pic of the box. it's a friggin yard sale.

i just took a chance on a rack from rack doctor. ordered a 96 -97 z3 rack. asked for e30 inner tie rods in their 'special instructions' comment box. couldn't get hold of them direct. we'll see how that works out.

I've had nothing but great experiences with FCP, and really like the express shipping discounts.

only works in US. their shipping is expensive and atrocious here.it's the sharp point of the problem.

didn't realize you were in Canada. that sucks to hear about your local dealer. sounds like they just don't know or care. incompetents.

they are about profit. they are the largest dealer network in north america. bmw sales are peanuts to them. it's a new money prestige status item, not a car or legacy to them. it's just one of their brands. might as well be ketchup.

They've only screwed up two of my orders over the past 10 years, one was the wrong oil filters (still have them, didn't realize it until it was months later), one was a trim panel, which they fixed promptly. I always found their shipping reasonable, it's fast enough that I don't bother paying more for the faster shipping.

i'm in canada.i don't get any of that shit. i pay big for shipping no matter how it comes. i pay extra so i don't have this bullshit. fcp can't deliver on international. it's not a one off here. it's a pattern.

Ok, but shipping isn't really their fault. I can understand being upset if they forget items, send the wrong items, or fold a gasket in half. I would blame the shipper if the box comes mangled (assuming the box was properly packed).

i do blame the shipper for this one. however it's not the first time. fcp also has a responsibility to pressure the shipper to do a proper job. i pay fcp for the service, i expect them to follow through, or have alternate shipping options, which they do not.

Does Steve still run blunttech.com? it's a shame these big "outsource everything" parts stores basically hoovered up the entire market. dealing with a small company like Steve's was always awesome. plus, special C&B's with ever shipment!

I will never in my life understand why ECS was and is so popular. Bad prices, bad experiences, expensive shipping. You get pretty pictures I guess? I get FCP for their warranty (but is it really worth it?). The rest? nah. Bavauto was poorly managed, but I miss places like that. At least I never got ripped off..

I will absolutely buy some things from FCP for the warranty. Prices are on average a little worse, and shipping is brutal, but I wanted a Bilstein B12 Pro kit for my R56 and they were the only ones with it in stock. With the crappy roads around here, I'll probably use the warranty if I keep the car long enough.

Otherwise I haven't bought much other than brakes and odd things by specific vendors (Turbo stuff, Valcasgarage bits, and revshift bushings), otherwise I'd be using Blunt.

I think some of you just have bad luck because in ~20 years I've basically never have issues with shipping or receiving things, auto parts or otherwise. One time a head gasket arrived bent which blunttech promptly sent a new one, and one time bought a cylinder head off a member hear that was packaged like shit but still survived, and that's about it. I must have boxed and shipped well over 50 packages, probably closer to 100 now, including some very expensive, rare items that I stressed about until I saw it marked as delivered, and never once had a problem.

i agree on the bad luck. it doesn't stop me from ordering. i've had numerous orders messed up. not just fcp. except for two they all got straightened out. all of fcp's orders have either been fixed or they refunded part.

I get your frustration, but you have to be reasonable about your expectations. If the shipper screws up, FCP files a claim and reships your stuff. That's just how it works. They're a small business, how much do you really expect them to be able to pressure a billion dollar company? There's really only UPS or FedEx here, kind of DHL. It's not like they have a ton of options.
