I think you mean the 91' M Technic cabrio. All (175-225) were built in 4/91 in the three colors stated above - the silver was the salmon silver. Most were automatics - this was a trial baloon by BMW to see if a cabrio with M suspension, aero effects, leather/evo M3 cloth interior would sell..............It was a $4500 option over the standard E30 325i cabrio. They ended up with a sticker price of $40,000 + (more expensive than the M3). They did sell all of them, finally, but the high price was the killer. For '92, they then made, the special run of 1000 all white/white interior M Technic cabrio's (lowered the price, [ less - M3 suspension & cloth/leather combo interior]) also, mostly automatics. This model also known as the "chick car".
The 91' (any of the 3 colors)with 5 speed is probably the rarest at probably less than 25 each. A 92' white/white with 5 speed is still very rare with probably less than 200 built.
there's a salmon silver 91 mtech 5 speed cabrio with the evo interior pattern up the street from me,owned by an older lady prob in her late 50's,i keep bugging her if she'd sell it but,she just likes it being a convertible(well it's summer time now)i'll ask her again in late fall-she has no clue what she has so i hope i get it at a good price..has 120k miles....

I would go after this car in a big way if I were you!! Figure, at this moment,
you are way down the list of who's spoken to her about buying it when she's ready to sell, behind the gas station guy, the BMW service tech, the service writer, the carry out boy etc...........you need to work at becoming her friend & letting her know how much of a BMW E30 fanatic you are. Tell her how much you love her car & if she ever wants to trade it in or get rid of it, you would like "1st right of refusal". Find out what she likes & dislikes about it, offer to buy her a 92-94 vert & trade it for the M Tech. Do everything but steal it!! If your coy, to think you'll get it at a cheap price - you'll loose it! If your honest & excited, you move to the top of the list & end up getting it - & at a fair price. The art of getting a "good deal" is only bench racing - if you don't GET the deal!! MAKE IT HAPPEN!!
if it's the one in your sig, I almost bought one when I was looking for this 325i.
it was some weird named colour, it's a bluey grey. it was a 4door, there was sap damage to the roof however, which would have cost a lot to get resprayed.

Are you talking about cirrusblau?
