Car and Driver stereotypes?

My favourite are the guys with 30 stickers on the window of their brand new leased by mom and dad cars, with maybe a farty exhaust or lowered with some shitball wheels bouncing all over, redline next to you so you're like oh great lets go for a run through the corner coming up, and then the guy parks it in the corner and then parks harder at the local coffee shop/hangout. So many of those around where I live, it's quite frustrating.

There is a local kid, lube boy at a dealership....drives a brand new FRS, slammed, fart cans and fake BBS. "Yeah I bought it".......Guy we just hired worked with his dad.....who is the sales manager at the dealership....where he is leasing the car for his son.

I've noticed a trend of people out here that seem to think if you don't have a Jeep in Colorado you'll never survive the winters and they'll assume you're an idiot for driving anything else. The kind of people that throw all caution to the wind and will happily go 10 over the limit in blizzard conditions while I'm trying to travel safely at 10-15 under.

Every Jeep driver I've come across out here is a fucking tool. I guess "it's a Jeep thing."

I mean, don't get me wrong. I love myself a TJ or an old Cherokee/Comanche. We've had a few Jeeps and they're tough cars, but I could always say this stereotype goes a little hand in hand with the lifted, smoke stacks and shitty wheels people, as to not make it Jeep exclusive.

Ironically enough, I haven't once met a douchey Subie driver over here. Most of them are actually pretty cool.

I wasn't going to call out Scrapeyard because some decent cars still show up, but the majority that makes up that scene all have giant holes in there floorboards.....

The guys throw around FBO like is a complement to themselves that they've reached a level of superiority by buying every bolt on "performance" option for their car. All it tells me is you have not individuality to separate you and your car from everyone else, no real mechanical ability and well....you're still a douche.

Every, and I mean every Prius driver is the worse driver I have ever seen. They don't accelerate, they sit in the left lane, they don't pay attention to anyone around them. Drives me nuts!!

I've built CJ 5 and 7's the last 7 would out run most of our e30 in a straight line, cj, tj, rust real quick when you don't take care of them, most people out east here in VA, if its lifted its going in the dirt, in FL totally different story, 5 out of 25 lifted/off road style trucks never see the dirt, mud, sand. the owner get mad when you tell em to put them in the dirt, I live in a area outside Orlando, where the must offensive person is a 18-24 yr old with daddy's diesel with every HP option going, and there the most dangerous MF's out there, because once they get that heavy ass diesel moving they have no idea how to control it or stop it,

I had quite a bit of people pass judgement until we actually spoke to one another and they realized I hated SRT-4 guys more than they did.

This has been the case with me and people hearing that I drive a BMW. I refer to it as "an old project car."

I have met some great folks who are into E30s and other BMWs, but I've also had my run ins with those BMW folk who gave a look of visible disgust at my car. I can't blame them too much, it does look like garbage and I am not happy with that fact. I have also had encounters with today's stereotypical E30 owner; the stancetard, and like-minded people who think I must be saving up for that sick static drop kit because I don't have 10 degres of camber and less ground clearance than a lamborghini.
