I personally don't get the whole "vin tag missing thing"
NONE of the euro m3 cars have vin tags on everything. As long as there is no sign of an accident, I don't care.

Yeah, they didn't address the suspension at all.

And I'm with Todd, I'm not going to get caught up in the vin stickers missing. Also, why wouldn't they fix that side mirror switch...? Lazzzzzzzy seller..

While that's true Todd... US cars all came with them, so if they are missing on the front end it implies front end damage at some point. It looks like a nice car and the "issues" are very minor but that's enough to scare potential buyers. I think the ad isn't all that great and pictures are still lacking without any trunk or undercarriage shots. No shots of the suspension or exhaust. The ad is written like the car is going to sell itself. There's a mileage discrepancy of 400 miles on the carfax which is odd. This one probably isn't going to break 30k which is a shame but on the other hand someone could be getting a deal.

Edit: What a last minute comeback. All of a sudden it's at $31,250.

If there was an accident it should be readily apparent though. This one may be that, I haven't seen it personally.

I have seen cars where there was a repaint earlier on in its life and the fender stickers were sanded or stripped off to facilitate a good respray. Hell, how many s14 heads have been rebuilt and the vin sticker between the tbs was removed by the cleaning.

                I think 30k will be a steal.

Should we avoid any euro/Japanese m3's because it is harder to tell if there was an accident? Are they automatically worth a bit less?

That's a really nice is, minus the little rust spots. Wouldn't be surprised to see this creep up to 10k

I agree. It's nothing that should turn away any bidders.

Not really if the repair was done well. That kind of thing can be difficult to tell from just a few pictures online though. Speaking of euro cars, there have been a few (non evolutions) that have taken a long time to sell probably because of lack of carfax/autocheck records, VIN stickers and KPH gauges. I'd be apprehensive of these cars for these reasons. Why buy one of those at the same premium when there are several US California cars with full records, matching VIN stickers, MPH gauges that are probably cleaner ?
